The Verdi family has farmed the rolling hills of the Oltrepo Pavese in Lombardy for seven generations, since an ancestor came over from Parma in the 18th century, and Bruno was the first to bottle under the family name after the war. This is their Pinot Grigio, a region where the grape actually has deep roots, made in a fresh, clean, balanced style with no oak getting in the way. It's the kind of honest, well-made Italian white that overdelivers, an easygoing everyday pour rather than a special-occasion bottle. The 2025 is bright and crisp, exactly what you want from a young Pinot Grigio. Serve it well chilled as an aperitivo or with light food.
