Vilmart's Grand Cellier d'Or is the flagship of one of grower Champagne's great cult houses, made from the estate's oldest vines in Rilly-la-Montagne on the Montagne de Reims. What sets Vilmart apart is its devotion to oak: the base wines are fermented and aged in barrel, giving a richness and texture you rarely find in Champagne at this level. This vintage Chardonnay-dominant cuvee is layered and complex, balancing toasty depth with bright orchard fruit and fine chalky minerality.
