Calea sources Nero d’Avola from sun-drenched vineyards across western Sicily. The region’s warm climate and well-drained soils produce ripe, expressive fruit.

The 2024 was fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and varietal character. It’s a smooth, approachable expression of Sicily’s signature red grape.

More about Calea

Josh Jensen found limestone in California and built a legend on it. In 1974 he discovered 324 acres in San Benito Country with a generous limestone deposit (a limekiln, or 'calera' in Spanish)—named his label after it, and never looked back. His Pinot Noirs—particularly the single-vineyard expressions—are considered California's Grand Crus: minimalist, Burgundy-inspired, textbook terroir expressions. Robert Parker once nicknamed Calera 'California's Romanée-Conti.' Jensen's Chardonnay and Viognier are equally thoughtful. A natural winemaking pioneer when minimalism wasn't trendy.
