Champagne Tellier works their own vineyards organically in Moussy, between the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, where the majority of their vines are selection massales (traditional heritage clones). This Rosé Extra Brut brings the subtle elegance of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with the structure of Chardonnay, all aged and finished with the minimal dosage that lets the terroir shine. Golden pink with a fine, persistent bead.

More about Tellier

A family estate in Moussy, just south of Épernay, where Christophe Tellier has been in charge since 1980 and his sons Quentin and Alexandre joined in 2016 and 2020. They farm 18 parcels across five villages, from deep soils in Moussy and Pierry to chalk-at-the-surface sites in Chavot, Fontaine-sur-Aÿ and Cramant, with organic-inspired methods and hand harvesting. Every wine ferments in oak, from barrels to foudres. Grower Champagne done right.

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
