The man who runs Cheval Blanc and Yquem has a day-job wine, and this is it. Pierre Lurton started assembling Marjosse in the Entre-Deux-Mers in 1991 and has quietly applied grand-estate thinking to a humble address ever since. The 2025 Blanc is white Bordeaux in its most useful form: bright, crisp and citrus-driven, with a grassy green snap and a little waxy weight underneath to give it shape. It's built for drinking rather than contemplating. Pour it cold, keep it moving, and enjoy one of the easiest ways to drink well from Bordeaux.

More about Chateau Marjosse

Pierre Lurton's home estate in Entre-deux-Mers might seem modest compared to his other properties (Cheval Blanc, Yquem), but that's exactly the point. Marjosse makes approachable, fruit-forward Bordeaux—exactly what weeknight wine should be.
