What is this wine?
Château Massereau is a small, family-run estate located in Barsac, within Bordeaux’s Graves region. The Chaigneau family farms organically and works with minimal intervention in the cellar, producing both traditional and natural-style wines that stand apart from Bordeaux’s mainstream. Cuvée Tradition is their entry red, a blend led by Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, vinified with native yeasts and little or no added sulfur.

Massereau works naturally, but the style here is traditional. The wines are elegant and structured, and they age very well. The Graves is aged in neutral (not new) oak barrels and there's never any acidification or chaptalization done here. Farming is organic, and has been for about 20 years.
