Under the thoughtful hand of David Croix, formerly of Camille Giroud, Domaine des Croix has become one of the leading voices in modern Beaune—farming organically, vinifying with restraint, and allowing each terroir to speak for itself. Les Tuvilains, a well-exposed Premier Cru just south of the village, is known for yielding wines that are both structured and refined.

The 2022 vintage is ripe but impeccably balanced. Red cherry, raspberry, and subtle spice unfold over a framework of firm but polished tannins. There’s Beaune’s classic earth and savor, but it’s lifted by freshness and fine acidity, making the wine both approachable in youth and worthy of cellaring.

"The 2022 Beaune Les Bressandes 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet with vivid red berry fruit, crushed stone and flint, and the 50% whole bunches simpatico with the fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly more lactic entry, white pepper and a hint of dark chocolate. Soft landing on the finish. He begin his winemaking career straight out of viticulture school when he took over the reigns at Camille Giroud (as well as working with Guy Roulot), when he was just 24 years old. In 2016 he quit his day job to focus entirely on his own small domaine, which he purchased back in 2005.
