Breuer calls Terra Montosa their "baby grand cru"—a dry Riesling blended each year from the estate's steepest grand cru slopes, from the Rudesheimer Berg to Rauenthal's Nonnenberg. But this particular bottling carries a twist: "Patientia," Latin for patience. After the famously cold 2021 vintage, the estate held a portion back for roughly three extra years of maturation before release, letting it develop toasty complexity and depth you don't usually find in a wine at this level. It's the multi-slope Terra Montosa—crystalline, mineral, bone-dry—but with the added dimension that only real cellar time can give. A patient wine, rewarded.
