A rose grown on an actual island in the Rhone river, which gives it a terroir you won't find anywhere else. Domaine Isle Saint-Pierre sits on a sandbar 25 km south of Arles, near the mouth of the Rhone in the Camargue, where deep, well-draining alluvial soils of sand and silt shape the wines; the estate has been farmed by the same family since 1927, now under fourth-generation Julien Henry. This Mediterranee rose is an unusual blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Vermentino, made from free-run juice after a short maceration for clarity and lift. Sustainably farmed and genuinely distinctive, it's a summer porch-pounder with a story.
