From an exceptionally small parcel of old vines in Les Pruliers, the smallest production premier cru in Jérôme Chezeaux's cellar. Full-bodied with black fruit, showing robustness over sleekness. Hand-harvested grapes undergo 15-21 days fermentation, 30% new oak. The domaine was established by Jérôme in 1993; his daughter Lyse joined full-time in 2019.

Jérome Chezeaux took the helm in 1993 after his father's death and spent thirty years proving that 12 hectares scattered across Burgundy's top parcels can become the source of serious wine. Non-interventionist in the cellar, hand-de-stemmed, wild ferments, modest oak. His daughter Lyse now works alongside him.

The smallest-production premier cru in Chezeaux’s cellar, Les Pruliers lies near the border of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Premeaux-Prissey in the southern part of the appellation. Jerome works a mere tenth of a hectare here: a parcel of extremely old vines that produce a wine of warmth and generosity. More full-bodied than the Rue de Chaux above, its fruit is pitched toward the black, and, while not heavy-handed in the slightest, it emphasizes robustness over sleekness.
