More about Detert Family Vineyards

A tiny Oakville estate with deep roots. The Detert family bought the land in 1954 and sold every grape to others until 2000, when it released its first wine under its own label. Today brothers Tom and John Garrett run it, with Tom making the wines. The 18 planted acres are almost all Cabernet Franc, plus about an acre of Cabernet Sauvignon, and production is usually under 600 cases. Structured, balanced Napa wines that are hard to find and worth the hunt.
