More about Laphroaig

Made on Islay since 1815, Laphroaig is one of Scotch whisky's great peat monsters, and it doesn't apologize for its intensity. It still malts some of its own barley over peat fires on site, and the house style is unmistakable: iodine, seaweed, smoke and a surprising sweetness underneath. The 10-year-old is the perfect entry point. This is the anti-smooth whisky, and that's its glory.
