More about Chateau Le Bergey

Not to be confused with Haut-Bergey in Pessac-Léognan. Château Le Bergey is a small property in Saint-Loubès, on the Right Bank side of the Bordeaux appellation, where Gérard Laurent farms organically and biodynamically and keeps sulfur low. The red is a Cabernet and Merlot blend, bottled as plain Bordeaux: juicy, honest claret with real fruit and no makeup. This is the kind of everyday Bordeaux that reminds you how good the basic stuff can be when someone actually cares.
