Real, organically farmed Bordeaux at an everyday price. Le Bergey is the entry label of Chateau L'Escart, run by Damien Laurent (a former professional ice-hockey player turned vigneron) and his wife Lorena on a family property held since 1752. It's a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend with Merlot from vines at least fifteen years old, farmed without synthetic chemicals along biodynamic lines, fermented with native yeasts and raised in stainless steel to keep the fruit clean and direct. No oak, no fuss: just honest, juicy claret meant for the table, not the cellar.
