Sharp-value white Burgundy from a rising young name in Chassagne-Montrachet. Simon Colin founded his domaine in 2017, son of Philippe and nephew of Bruno Colin, with training under his uncle and at Domaine Sauzet; he works premier crus and villages across Chassagne, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Maranges. This Bourgogne Chardonnay is the regional entry point to that pedigree, and 2023 was a ripe, abundant white vintage with good freshness. A fresh, ready-to-drink introduction to a serious address.

Antonio Galloni

90 points

"The 2023 Bourgogne Chardonnay, matured in 20% new oak from three parcels around the winery, has a detailed, finely delineated nose with yellow plum and nectarine scents. The palate has a smooth texture and hints of tropical fruit, though it retains Burgundian DNA. A generous stem ginger note enlivens the finish." —Neal Martin
