Another treasure from Roulot’s 2023 release: this village Meursault from Les Clous arrived via a vineyard exchange between Bouchard and the Roulot/de Montille alliance, making it a rare fruit of collaboration among Burgundy’s finest. Like its sibling (Casse-Tetes), it carries the DNA of organic mastery and gentle winemaking that has made Roulot legendary since 1989. Expect the same crystalline vitality and mineral-driven character, but from a distinct terroir with its own identity waiting to be discovered.

More about Jean-Marc Roulot

Jean-Marc Roulot gave up an acting career in Paris to take over his family domaine in Meursault in 1989, and became one of Burgundy's most refined winemakers. Organic farming since the 1990s, an early pick (he'd rather harvest two days early than two days late) and an obsession with energy and finesse over extraction. Silky, transparent Meursaults that show their terroirs clearly and age gracefully for decades.
