Pineau des Charentes is a distinctly French tradition: a blend of fresh grape must and Cognac eau-de-vie, aged together in barrel until the line between spirit and wine disappears. Pierre Ferrand’s 5 Year expression brings quiet depth to the category, aging their Pineau longer than most to coax out richness and refinement.

Expect notes of honeyed pear, baked apple, toasted almond, and a hint of orange peel. The texture is silky, the sweetness balanced by a gently warming backbone from the Cognac. It’s elegant but unfussy—perfect served chilled before a meal, or alongside fruit desserts, blue cheese, or roasted nuts.
