"A notably cool and more elegant, as well as markedly spicy nose also features liqueur-like aromas of red cherry, black raspberry, cassis and subtle floral and warm earth hints. There is a polished mouthfeel to the delicious and nicely vibrant middle weight flavors that possess superb length and beautiful depth on the overtly austere built-to-age finish. This isn't as powerful as the Mazy but it's notably finer. Excellent."

The palate is balanced, though, and velvety-smooth; here there is less sign of the overripeness. In fact, the finish shows impressive clarity and refinement. Hopefully time in bottle will address the sur-maturité, so cellar this for several years." -Vinous
