The second-oldest estate in Ribera del Duero—founded 1903, only Vega Sicilia predates it. In 2015, Torremilanos became the first Demeter-certified biodynamic winery in the region, a landmark achievement. They even operate their own cooperage (since 1988) to craft every barrel used. This 2020 Crianza spent 17 months in French oak at 850 meters elevation—the altitude preserves acidity despite the continental heat. Both Parker and Suckling awarded it 92 points. Power with restraint.

"The 2020 Torremilanos has a nose of ripe berries with an herbal touch, notes of decayed leaves and earth. The profile is somewhere between modern and more classical, with a velvety mouthfeel, good ripeness, flavors of ripe fruit, spice and an earthy twist in the finish. It's powerful and ripe at 14.5% alcohol but with finesse. 86,593 bottles and some smaller and larger formats produced. It was bottled in February 2023."
