Paul-Henri Thillardon set out at age 22 to prove that Chenas, long overshadowed by neighboring Moulin-a-Vent, deserved better. He farms biodynamically and makes natural wines, having soaked up advice from Beaujolais greats like Yvon Metras and Jean-Louis Dutraive. "Les Vibrations" is exactly the kind of energetic, transparent Gamay that earns Chenas its overdue respect: pure, crunchy red fruit, a floral lift and a savory mineral backbone. It's natural Beaujolais done with precision, not chaos. Easy to love, with real terroir underneath. Serve with a slight chill.

More about Thillardon

Paul-Henri Thillardon moved to Chénas at 22 and spent the next decade building something remarkable with his siblings. Twelve hectares of biodynamic Gamay on four different soils, natural winemaking with carbonic maceration, and the kind of precision that turns this much-maligned region into a source of pure, sincere, fleshy elegance. Thillardon doesn't overthink Beaujolais—they just express it with uncommon finesse and aging potential.
