It was a fun and educational tasting. There was a good variety of wines from different regions. The cost was reasonable especially with the $20 coupon.
My favorite wine of the tasting was the Matrot 2021 Bourgogne Chardonnay which I purchased for $15 given my coupon. And, it was listed at $50+ on Vivino!
[Event Has Passed] The Wines of Brundlmayer with Andreas Wickhoff MW, 4/3/25
Gregarious Bernhard Ott was very generous with his time and nine of his wines.
Light straw with tiny bubbles; nose is quiet with yeasty and mineral notes; palate is light, almost delicate with very fine mousse. Maybe best suited as an aperitif.
light bodied, but some extra depth and a nice savory streak.
We love this wine! Perfect for spring or summer, brunch OR lunch, whether you’re indoors at your favorite neighborhood restaurant OR outdoors at the park — this bottle pairs nicely with wherever you are in life, period. My ex and I ordered a bottle when we got together to rehash our breakup, and what most likely would have been an awful brunch outing became a surprisingly joyous occasion as we found ourselves rekindling our spark thanks to glass after glass of this delectable, juicy wine — with just the right amount of minerality. The guy who gave it 1 star is crazy! Enjoy it in good health! — a guy who knows
From the first taste to the final swirl and sip,a soft and delightful flavor of a finely crafted wine.
Surprised at how good this Muscadet is. Nice body, just the right balance of flavors and minerality. Perfect with sole. And soul. Enjoy!
Competitive price w/cs discount makes me a happy camper and even if it’s more than it used to be a short while ago.
Great 6 year old Irpinia alliance that is drinking very nicely. Medium plus acidity and medium tannins. Paired really well with chicken parm. Its a keeper.
Bright yellow; luscious nose with ripe peach, melon and a hint of honey; extra juicy palate is soft and supple with more yellow fruit and a little lemon. Delicious now.
Light yellow; aromatic mix on the nose that’s spicy and flowery; the virtually dry palate comes off a little lighter in comparison but still offers liquid flowers, subtle yellow citrus, and no phenolic bitterness.
Nicely balanced. Fair price for an excellent sauvi.
Although M Lapierre Beaujolais grand’s cru are awesome this wine is really awful!: to aboid
OK for what it’s meant to be. Rustic, immature and cloudy. Won’t buy more.
Flatiron classes are generally fine, but this one went above and beyond. The wines were things one may well have never tasted, and they were very good. I believe one of them would retail north of $1000--if you could find it.
Awesome champagne, lots of.energy and class. Glad I followed the flatiron wines reco on this one
Thorough, informative, entertaining. Lots of great wine too.
Wasn’t able to attend this one but have attended several and they are usually fantastic.
Great Vodka to drink on the rocks or in a Martini.
Hope the ridiculous price comes down
Brundlmayer, Riesling Langenloiser Steinmassl 1 OTW Kamptal DAC, 2022
I am thoroughly enjoying the choices and learning quite a bit.
