Gemischter Satz is Vienna's signature field blend, where a jumble of grape varieties are co-planted, picked, and fermented together, and "Kosmopolit" is Jutta Ambrositsch's cross-city take, drawing on parcels from both banks of the Danube. The blend runs deep, from Gruner Veltliner and Riesling to a grab-bag of rare old varieties, all pressed together in one go. Ambrositsch is among Vienna's most respected natural growers, farming organically and letting terroir speak over any single grape. Clean, linear, and more serious than the everyday Gemischter Satz you'll find on tap around town.

"The 2024 Gemischter Satz Kosmopolit is a cross-Viennese field blend from sites picked in both the 19th and 21st districts, made up of Grüner Veltliner, Grüner Silvaner, Riesling, Neuburger, Traminer, Chardonnay and other varieties. Pear juiciness dominates the nose, with a lovely tang of fresh yeast that is exquisitely youthful and animating. The palate is equally juicy and retains its lovely freshness, lightness and crunch, imbued with plenty of fruit and an absolutely yeasty vibe, finished with a gorgeous smattering of pepper." —Anne Krebiehl, MW
