Analemma, Columbia Gorge Mosier Hills Grenache, 2019
is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Analemma Wines is one of the brightest stars in the Columbia Gorge, a region where high elevations, volcanic soils, and cool Pacific breezes combine to produce wines of incredible tension and purity. Their Mosier Hills Grenache comes from estate vineyards perched at over 1,000 feet, farmed organically and crafted with minimal intervention.
The 2019 vintage captures Grenache’s lighter, more ethereal side: red berries, blood orange, white pepper, and wild herbs weave together over a frame of silky tannins and vibrant acidity. There’s a transparency to the fruit and a mineral cut that places this closer in spirit to mountain-grown Rhône Grenache or even a serious cru Beaujolais, rather than the heavier expressions of the grape found elsewhere.
Fermented with native yeasts and aged in large neutral oak, it’s a Grenache that hums with freshness, spice, and a quiet, persistent energy.
Pair with: herb-crusted lamb, charred vegetables, lentil stews, or grilled salmon with a Mediterranean twist.
