This graceful Pinot Noir from Antoine Lienhardt's prized Aux Vignottes vineyard sits directly across from the celebrated Clos de la Maréchale in Nuits Saint-Georges, separated only by a highway—a geography that shapes its distinctive mineral spine. The clay-limestone soils of Aux Vignottes produce rounder, more fruit-driven wine than its illustrious neighbor while maintaining the structure and saline minerality that defines the Côte de Nuits. Lienhardt took over the family estate in 2011 and earned organic certification in 2019, now farming biodynamically with no added sulfites, whole-cluster fermentation, and no fining or filtration. Elegant and silky with beautiful floral aroma of rose, this wine captures the fourth generation's meticulous approach to terroir.

More about Antoine Lienhardt

Antoine Lienhardt represents the fourth generation in Comblanchien (Côte de Nuits, Burgundy), taking over his family's 6 hectares in 2011 with sister Héloïse joining in 2017. He trained at Amiot-Servelle and elsewhere, then brought serious environmental conviction: organic certified 2019, now farming biodynamically. His wines come from old parcels worked with precision and respect. These are Burgundies that taste like they know exactly what they're made of.
