Les Cras sits just below the premier cru of the same name in Chambolle-Musigny, source of Burgundy's most perfumed, silky Pinot Noir. The 2022 comes from a warm, generous growing season, so this vintage carries more flesh and depth than the cool 2021 while keeping Chambolle's signature elegance. Guyon's parcel grows on iron-rich clay and limestone, hand-harvested and aged about 18 months in French oak (around a quarter new). Fuller and more immediately giving than the 2021, with great energy. Lovely now, and with room to develop.

Wine Spectator

92 points

"An opulent red, featuring cherry, blackberry, black currant, violet and spice flavors. A line of dense tannins provides structure, along with fresh acidity. Showing fine harmony and length, this ends with a crisp finish. Best from 2027 through 2040."
