Ardbeg has been making whisky on Islay's south coast since 1798, and the island's highest PPM peat levels don't dominate—instead you get spices, malt, sweet vanilla and chocolate tones. They use malted barley from Port Ellen, pump out about 10,000 barrels annually, and have won multiple World Whisky of the Year awards. The distillery isn't trying to taste like the sea; it's crafting something deeper and more complex. Serious juice from a serious place.
