Brion Wise founded B. Wise Vineyards on Moon Mountain, the high-elevation volcanic ridge above Sonoma Valley that's quietly become one of California's most exciting Cabernet zones. The Trios is the estate-grown gateway: classic Moon Mountain Cab from steep, rocky vineyards farmed at altitude, where cooler nights and stressed vines give wines built more on structure and tension than flash. 2023 was a near-perfect growing season in Sonoma — long, cool, even — and the result here is a Cab of real balance: pure red and black fruit, mineral and garrigue notes, polished French oak, and the fresh acidity that high-elevation sites deliver. Approachable now with a few hours of air, with the bones to develop nicely over the next decade.

Black currant, dark cherry, and red plum over notes of crushed stone, garrigue, cedar, and graphite. The palate is medium-plus bodied with firm but polished tannins, fresh acidity from the elevation, and a lingering finish of dark fruit and mineral.
