The driest expression of Madeira's classic grape varieties, from the only founding family still owning their original company. John Blandy arrived on the island in 1808 and founded the company in 1811 with his brothers Thomas and George. Now in its seventh generation under Chris Blandy, with a 1989 partnership with the Symington family. Aged via the traditional canteiro system in American oak casks—gentle heating in Funchal's attic lodges, with wine moving from top floors to cooler ground levels over time. Blandy's achieved B Corp certification in December 2022 and farms 7 hectares including Quinta do Bispo.
