From one of Friuli's original trailblazers—"one of the world's greatest estates." Nicola Manferrari, originally a pharmacist, took over his father's five hectares in 1981 and joined visionaries like Gravner, Schiopetto, and Jermann in revolutionizing Friuli winemaking. Known for textural complexity and aging potential, this Merlot-Cabernet blend carries the Riserva designation indicating extended aging. From Cormòns in the heart of Collio on the Slovenia border—serious, traditionally-made red built for the cellar.

More about Borgo del Tiglio

Nicola Manferrari trained as a pharmacist, took over the family vineyard when his father died, and bottled his first wine in 1982. Now considered one of Friuli's original trailblazers, he makes brilliant, saline-infused whites that define what Collio can be. Collio Ronco della Chiesa Friulano—from vines planted 70+ years ago—elevated Friulano production from industrial to artisanal. Elevation through restraint.
