One can easily see the comparison to Chablis with this bottle—searing acidity, lighter body, but with a broad, leesy mid-palate. It spends a year in stainless steel with battonage to flesh it out and then another year in bottle before release. It feels more lifted and delicate than many of the others, especially for a traditional Colli Tortonesi estate, where producers often aim for a much richer style.
It is still young, but opens quite quickly. At the moment, it is showing purely mineral character, salty and creamy. One can expect honey, hay, beeswax, and more toasty notes to arrive with another few years in the bottle.
