Tasting Notes & Food Pairings

Perfect Pairings

A contemplative dram: neat in a copita, with a drop of water if you like. Best on its own after dinner, or with dark chocolate, walnuts, dried figs, or a wedge of aged hard cheese.

Tasting Profile

Four decades in refill sherry wood show as dried fruit, orange peel, toffee and polished old oak, with the gentle coastal salinity Bunnahabhain is known for. Unpeated, rich but not heavy, with soft tannin from the long aging and a very long, warming finish.
