"The 2021 Barbaresco Albesani is a bold, savory wine endowed with notable energy and structure. Chalk, mint, white pepper, crushed rocks and orange peel all emerge with some coaxing as the 2021 starts to show some of the inner sweetness that is such a signature of this site. Submerged cap maceration at the end of fermentation yielded an especially structured, backward Barbaresco." -Antonio Galloni

"The Cantina del Pino 2021 Barbaresco Albesani has an especially floral bouquet with dried rose petal and a savory touch of redwood or cedar. This wine carries a high 15% alcohol content, and although it remains relatively contained within the mid-weight fiber of the wine, it does stand out. It spends 24 months in botte grande and 18 months in bottle in order to capture the elegance of the fruit. This wine will hit the market in September 2025, with a release of 3,000 bottles." -Monica Larner

"Toasted hazelnut, forest floor and peppercorn aromas carry over to the full-bodied, rather austere palate along with dried cherry and crushed mint. A salty note caps off the finish while taut, tightly knit and close-grained tannins provide support. Drink 2027–2033." -Kerin O'Keefe
