Cascina Baricchi crafts this Barbaresco Riserva from the Rose delle Casasse vineyard using the Nebbiolo Rosé clone—a distinct biotype of Nebbiolo prized for producing wines of particular aromatic complexity and finesse. Extended aging in large neutral oak for five years before release creates a wine of surprising depth and structure. Expect floral aromas intertwined with earth, licorice, and autumn leaves, with the tannin backbone and aging potential to improve over the next decade. A small-production Barbaresco that redefines what's possible from this distinctive Nebbiolo clone.

Dark red/purplish fruit, rose petal, blood orange and spice blossom with a bit of coaxing. Readers can drink the 2019 now or cellar it. Time in the glass brings out the wine's inner perfume. Both stay in casks for four years. The wine is then blended and bottled and stays two years in the bottle before release.
