Elena Penna is the woman behind Timorasso's global renaissance, and her new venture's flagship white demonstrates why she has devoted her career to this ancient, nearly-extinct Piedmontese varietal. The 2024 is fermented with submerged cap maceration and aged in 5-hectoliter Clayver cement barrels, which contribute structure without overwhelming the wine's mineral purity. Timorasso is thick-skinned, naturally high in acidity, and built for aging. This wine shows white flowers, yellow fruit, and tropical hints on the nose—minerally precise on the palate with a persistent, saline finish.
