Desmirail is one of Margaux's quieter classed growths, a Third Growth in the 1855 classification that flies under the radar and rewards those who find it. Margaux is the Medoc's most perfumed, elegant commune, and Desmirail leans into that, offering finesse over muscle. It is a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend completed with Merlot and a little Petit Verdot. The 2005 comes from a great, structured left-bank vintage, so this Margaux carries more density and backbone than usual while keeping its signature elegance. Two decades in, it is approachable now but has the structure for more time. A relatively under-the-radar way into mature classed-growth Margaux.
