Saint-Émilion expertise in Castillon terroir—the Becot family (of Château Beau-Séjour Bécot) acquired this elevated property in 2001, bringing first-growth-level winemaking to an undervalued appellation. Positioned at some of the highest elevations along the Gironde, on the same limestone plateau as Saint-Émilion. The 2018 blend (75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc) shows blueberries, violets, and tobacco with medium-full body and crystalline texture. Racy acidity and fresh finish suggest both immediate pleasure and graceful aging.
