Château La Tour de Mons is one of the historic estates of Margaux, tracing its origins back to the 13th century. Known for crafting elegant, terroir-driven wines, it’s a quiet classic—delivering real Margaux finesse at a fraction of the price of its glitzier neighbors.

The 2021 vintage plays beautifully into that style. A cooler, earlier vintage compared to the previous few, it emphasizes freshness, aromatic lift, and classical structure rather than sheer power. The blend, dominated by Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, shows a core of juicy redcurrant and black cherry, framed by violet, graphite, and a subtle tobacco savoriness. The tannins are fine-grained and polished, with vibrant acidity carrying the wine through a bright, mineral finish.

This is a Margaux built more for pleasure over the next 5–8 years than for decades of cellaring—perfect for those who love Left Bank Bordeaux but crave finesse over sheer weight.
