A small-estate Saint-Emilion with seriously good neighbors. Once known as Chateau Croix Figeac and renamed in 2014 to honor owner's late father Pierre Dutruilh, this Grand Cru sits near Cheval Blanc and Figeac at the edge of Pomerol, on the clay-rich soils that define that corner of the appellation. It's a classic right-bank blend led by Merlot with Cabernet Franc, and the 2022 vintage brought a warm, ripe year that yielded generous, fleshy fruit. Approachable young but with enough structure to reward a few years in the cellar; decant if opening now.
