Sitting just across the border from Pomerol proper, Château Siaurac is the largest single vineyard in Lalande de Pomerol—and one of its most respected. With deep clay and gravel soils and a vineyard planted mostly to Merlot (with a bit of Cabernet Franc), it delivers wines with rich fruit, velvety texture, and plenty of charm. The 2016 vintage—a standout year across Bordeaux—gives this bottling extra structure and finesse.

Dark cherry, plum, and cocoa are framed by notes of cedar, violet, and gentle spice. The palate is supple but structured, with polished tannins and a long, smooth finish. Aged in a mix of new and used French oak, the wine shows classic Right Bank generosity without veering into excess.

Drink it now with a short decant, or cellar another 5–7 years. Perfect with roast lamb, beef stew, or mushroom-based dishes, Château Siaurac 2016 is proof that elegance and value can still go hand-in-hand in Bordeaux.
