Planted in 1993 and named for the mother of Cristom’s founder, Louise Vineyard holds pride of place just below the winery, with a mix of volcanic soils, varied exposures, and one of the steepest slopes on the estate. It consistently produces the most serious, structured Pinot in Cristom’s lineup—wines that combine Eola-Amity finesse with quiet intensity and long aging potential.

The 2022 vintage is layered and composed: black cherry, raspberry, and rose petal are framed by subtle baking spice, forest floor, and the vineyard’s hallmark iron-tinged minerality. The palate is firmly structured but balanced—fine tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, graceful finish that speaks more of place than winemaking.

Aged in a mix of new and neutral French oak and fermented with native yeasts and a significant portion of whole clusters, Louise 2022 is a wine built for both contemplation and the cellar. Drink 2026–2040+ or decant now with dishes like duck breast, mushroom risotto, or aged cheeses.

Founder and owner Paul Gerrie has used his skills as an engineer and avid researcher to pursue his passion for wine. On his travels to France, he was introduced to and embraced the traditional growing practices of Burgundy which he now instills in his own wines. Use of whole cluster and native yeast fermentation allows for the fruit and land to truly express themselves and Cristom has also farmed sustainably since 1992.
