Thirty years of patient maturation from one of Port's oldest houses. Croft was founded in 1588—over 430 years ago—and created the first vintage Port in 1781. This 1995 from Quinta da Roêda, the "jewel of Port wine estates" in the Douro Valley, has reached its peak drinking window. Expect sweet herbal notes of marjoram and mint with underpinning blackcurrant and cedar, leading to a chewy, sweet fruit finish. True vintage Port at the perfect moment.

Wine Spectator

91 points

"A '95 with a wonderfully aromatic nose of crushed berries. Full-bodied, with a long, medium-sweet fruit finish and firm, silky tannins."

More about Croft

Founded in 1588 by Henry Thompson of York, Croft is the oldest Port house still standing and making wine. Their house style is built on Quinta da Roêda fruit—a legendary vineyard that defines Croft Vintage Port. They're known for Vintage Ports that age for decades, a range of wood-aged reserves, and tawnies refined by generations of skill. Croft Port returned to family hands in 2001 through Adrian Bridge's purchase. Drinking Croft means drinking history that actually tastes good.
