From a legendary Rhône house founded in 1835, Chante Perdrix blends south-facing Cornas plots into a wine of deep, rustic intensity. Hand-harvested and fermented in traditional open concrete tanks after three days of cool skin contact, it emerges with cassis, black pepper, cinnamon, and licorice. The mouth is true to Cornas: muscular tannins and a savory earthiness that speaks to the granite and schist underfoot. This wine demands 3+ years of rest and will reward a patient cellarer.
