Vermouth tells a story of place and tradition, and Dolin's Blanc tells a particularly compelling one. Founded in 1821 in Chambéry, France, Dolin is the oldest vermouth producer and the only independent vermouth maker remaining in Chambéry. The Sevez family has stewarded this business through five generations (since 1905), crafting the pale 'Blanc' style that Dolin pioneered before Italian 'Bianco' imitations emerged. The recipe, refined over 200+ years, uses local alpine herbs and botanicals from the Savoie region. The 2014 bottle you hold represents the end of a particular era while continuing an unbroken family heritage. Chambéry earned France's only protected designation of origin for vermouth in the 1930s—a distinction Dolin helped create. This is history in a glass: authentic French alpine tradition.
