Professional Reviews

Antonio Galloni

AG 91
"Racked in tank, the 2023 Beaune Les Sizies 1er Cru includes 25% whole cluster and 10% new oak. This is perfumed and floral on the nose with ebullient red cherry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannins, quite mineral-driven through the fresh, stony finish. Classy." -Neal Martin

Decanter

D 91
"This lovely, high-toned wine boasts raspberry and pomegranate fruit aromas with an edge of mint and smoke. The texture is fairly rich but not heavy, with well-managed tannins and a lingering finish. The grapes are from 1.62ha planted in fairly deep clay soils near premier cru Avaux. They are fermented as one-third whole clusters and the wine is ageing now in casks, less than 10% new to ensure the purity of fruit" -Charles Curtis, MW

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
