The 60% whole cluster is beautifully integrated into a bouquet of finely poised dark berry fruit with a noticeable marine influence and superb delineation. The hill of Corton bridges the divide between the Cote de nuits and the Cotes de Beaune, and is home to the only red Grand Crus of the Cote de Beaune. The esteemed Grand Cru of Clos du Roi sits mid-slope on the eastern section of the hill.
