What importer Polaner Selections has to say about this wine...
Vineyard75% of De Montille's Puligny Villages uniquely hails from a 1.1 hectares parcel situated in the Puligny Premier Cru Les Chalumeaux that was declassified by the INAO when it was replanted in 1975 because the former owner brought in 20cm of topsoil. It is the only village-level vineyard to sit mid-slope amidst the 1er Crus. Over the years, erosion has returned the site to its original terroir. The remaining two parcels that complete this wine are Levron and Baudrieres-Nosroy.SoilClay-limestoneViticulturepracticing biodynamicVinificationFermented in demi-muids.
