"The 2024 Volnay Village includes some fruit eked from the Premier Crus this year. It has quite a precocious nose with Morello cherries and crushed strawberry, just a touch of cassis coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet candied opening. Quite fleshy and harmonious although it needs more grip and density at the back end. As such, this will be a Volnay that should be broached in its flush of youth." —Neal Martin
