85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir fermented in upright wooden tank and 225L barrels, then aged in barrels, then aged sur latte for 18 months. No fining and no dosage. This is a crémant that can actually serve as an alternate to Champagne — the cut and the minerality are out of this world. Savory, biscuity and insanely elegant.

More about Domaine Pignier

On hillsides in Montaigu, Jura, Domaine Pignier has been making wine since the 13th century when Carthusian monks planted the first vines on the Jura's rocky slopes. The Pignier family acquired the estate in 1794 and continue working it today with biodynamic principles. These wines pull Chardonnay, Savagnin, and red varieties into expressions of Alpine intensity and precision. Polaner Selections brings them to America. Jura's most serious voice.

Tasting Profile

Citrus blossom, white stone fruits, and brioche on the nose with crisp, fine bubbles and mineral acidity, medium body, and a persistent, bone-dry finish. The wine shows elegance and complexity from extended aging.
