Tinto Cao is one of the Douro's great old grapes, usually buried inside Port and red blends and almost never bottled on its own. Dona Berta gives it the solo spotlight it rarely gets, from organically farmed vines in the wild, high country of the Douro Superior near Foz Coa. This is an old-school, savory red: structured and firm rather than jammy, with bright acidity and real grip. Aged a year in wood, it's a Reserva built for the table and for the cellar. A rare chance to meet a classic Douro grape face to face.
