Antonio Galloni

95 points

"The 2023 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru, matured in around 70% new oak, has a well-defined bouquet of brambly red berry fruit, tobacco and light licorice scents. It is very focused and gains intensity with aeration. Fresh and vibrant, the medium-bodied palate is smooth in texture with pliant tannins and a judicious touch of black pepper on the finish. Very classy." —Neal Martin

More about Drouhin-Laroze

In Gevrey-Chambertin, Drouhin-Laroze holds some of the appellation's most coveted fruit—three premiers crus and grand crus including the legendary Chambertin Clos de Bèze. These Pinot Noirs taste like history and terroir combined, the kind of Burgundy that rewards patience and cellaring over decades. Polaner Selections brings them to America, recognizing them as among Burgundy's finest expressions. Serious stuff from a serious address.
